It is hard to believe that another year has already passed at Furniture Hire UK and what a year 2012 has been!
Christmas is always a perfect occasion to treat the team and provide something special and memorable for the festive period. It allows employers to thank their staff for all their hard work throughout the year as well as providing them with a fun filled evening.
This year’s Christmas party was kept under wraps and guaranteed to be something very different from years gone past. Many firms decide to take teams to venues which cater for a variety of events and functions but this year, Furniture Hire UK decided to surprise employees with a red carpet entrance into a beautifully decorated marquee.
The marquee boasted a colour changing dance floor with DJ at one end and a mobile bar to cater to all tastes and desires at the other. A real Christmas tree was hand decorated the night before and twinkled well into the early hours. The team were also treated to a live band that played several sets throughout the evening and also assisted with a quiz which had been prepared.
The quiz was a storming success and everyone participated in one form or another. We wouldn’t let our team go hungry and everyone agreed the four course meal, served to the table was extremely appetising. The 12 Days of Christmas was an enormous amount of fun and supported by an example from Daniel Smith, Ben Matthews and Lisa Virtue, employees stood and sang sections of the festive favourite according to the month they were born. The activity got everyone involved and soon increased heart rates.
Dressing the Tree and Table
Who better to supply the furniture than Furniture Hire UK! We ensured the bar area contained poseur tables and stools and we utilised our 5foot banquet tables accompanied by banquet chairs and covers with, blue bows – of course. Our Creative Coordinator ensured the colour theme was consistent throughout and the marquee and even the tables contained favour boxes which were personally branded for each team member.
The tables looked stunning and were dressed with white tablecloths and silver runners. The napkins were aptly blue and the favour boxes complemented the overall appearance tenfold. The candelabras added style, sophistication and a modern feel as well as keeping a festive theme with silver crackers.
Put on your Dancing Shoes
It is always a consideration when organising an event or function whether everyone attending will enjoy the elements of the evening. No greater complement can come from everyone up on the dance floor, dancing the night away! The whole evening was a huge success and we would like to thank all our staff once again for all their hard work and dedication. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
