Furniture Donation Supports Wildwood Trust

Supporting UK Charities by Supplying Boardroom Tables

It’s estimated that there are over 166,000 charities in the UK, with a total annual turnover of just under £48 billion. The definition of a charity is an organization whose primary objectives are philanthropy and social well-being. Charities of all sizes rely solely on donations and support from members of the public, other businesses and celebrities. It’s always easy to forget just how much of a difference charities can make. Support can be in the form of sponsorship, donations, volunteering or work experience placements as well as fundraising both personally and professionally.

We were recently contacted by a team member at Wildwood Trust, a wildlife park located in Canterbury, Kent, set within 40 acres of beautiful ancient woodland. Visitors can see bison, deer, owls, foxes, squirrels, wild boar, lynx, bears, wolves, wild horses, badgers plus much more. Wildwood is one of the leading British animal conservation charities in the UK, dedicated to saving Britain’s most threatened wildlife. Just some of the ground breaking conservation programmes include restoring Kent’s most precious nature reserves by using wild horses to help as well as returning the red squirrel and hazel dormouse to areas where they have been made extinct.

Meeting Tables to Make a Difference

Kate, Corporate Development Manager at Wildwood reached out to us in need of a boardroom table. Our Marketing department immediately made contact and discussed how we could support Wildwood and we therefore made the decision to donate four 1500mm white meeting tables as well as two matching modular d-ends in order to facilitate a large boardroom table. Alongside the tables, we also donated 12 of our Black Stacking Chairs to complete the look of the meeting area at Wildwood.

Modular meeting tables are some of our most versatile products. They can be set up and taken down in a matter of minutes and also have the ability to be configured in a number of ways to suit not only the space available but also the number of people attending a conference or meeting. The modular d-ends add the finishing touches to boardroom tables as they create soft, circular ends. Our white meeting tables are offered in two sizes, 1200 and 1500mm in width. The highly polished chrome legs keep the appearance modern and sleek ensuring they complement any environment they are set in.

Our Marketing team offered stacking chairs as part of the donation as this particular chair is one of our most popular. Not only is it extremely comfortable with its padded seat and seat back, but its professional exterior means the chair itself doesn’t date over time. The chairs can be stacked five high when not in use if, for any reason, the products needed to be moved or stored out of sight for any length of time. The tables folding leg mechanisms ensure these products are just as easy to store away if required.

Assisting Charities Where We Can

As a business we already support a huge range of charities and will continue to do so. If you’re a charity, make contact with our Marketing Team any time (marketing@furniturehireuk.com) and we’ll endeavor to assist with your enquiry. As part of the support we have given Wildwood, we have also adopted an animal as a company. Our Sales Director is excited to meet the team at Wildwood as we look to build a long standing partnership with the Trust and of course meet the newest member of our team.
