August 2010 saw what could have quite easily been a very laborious task. ActionAid International made the decision to move premises and with help from the Furniture Hire UK team, the whole transition was made as uncomplicated and smooth as possible.
Dedicated to ending poverty and injustice, ActionAid is a partnership between people in rich and poor countries. They work with local people to fight hunger and disease, seek justice and education for women, hold companies and governments accountable and cope with emergencies in over forty countries. The organisation works relentlessly to change everything they can which traps those less fortunate in poverty. Their hope is for a world without poverty, where nobody goes to bed hungry.
Managing Director, Daniel Smith of Furniture Hire UK works closely with a large number of charitable organisations and he not only assisted with the move to a new site located in Central London but he also donated over 900 pieces of Furniture.
A large team from Furniture Hire UK worked tirelessly, planning, moving and designing the offices using CAD technology for several months with ActionAid and even led and organised their archiving procedure to prepare them for the enormous move to their new location. Hundreds of crates were delivered to site and with our help each crate was packed effortlessly and efficiently.
Furniture Hire UK takes pride in their Archive Storage System also and currently houses over 500 archive boxes containing documents from ActionAid in their dedicated facility.
Every detail of the move was meticulously planned and this ensured each crate and all furniture was transported and delivered to the relevant floors. The team worked hour after hour installing each item of furniture at the empty site and therefore the building was fully operational for ActionAid to move directly into and continue their hard work immediately.
It is the dedication, organisation and hard work at Furniture Hire UK which ensures every job they assist with and carry out is so successful.
