The party spirit is still high in our team today and will be for a long time because of our recent award as EHA Company of the Year 2015.
Award Season In Hire Sector...
Excitement has been growing at Furniture Hire UK since we were notified that we’d been shortlisted for the Hire Awards of Excellence. This contest has been running for an amazing 40 years and we were delighted to attend them for the third time. Every year companies that work in the hire industries are nominated for many different categories that recognise achievement in this sector.
The event is organised by the Hire Association Europe and the Event Hire Association, with the 2015 ceremony taking place at a beautiful venue on London’s elegant Northumberland Avenue. Around 400 guests were invited to the sumptuous premises to enjoy an exquisite three course meal under the sparkling chandeliers and ornate ceilings. Representatives from our Furniture Hire UK team took their seats at elegant linen covered tables surrounded by ghost Chiavari chairs, which you can hire from us this June, we think they really added to the overall magical vibe.
As all the nominees nervously awaited the naming of winners from each category, comedian and TV personality Debra Stephenson kept everyone laughing, while the entertaining Mariachi band added a fun and relaxed vibe via their Mexican folk music and bright outfits complete with wigs. There were many different types of companies attending the event vying to be the winners of a wide selection of award categories, from Service Provider of the Year, Equipment of the Year and Product of the Year, while those motivated individuals that help drive businesses forward were also recognised thanks awards like Apprentice of the Year and Workshop Manager of the Year.
A Philosophical Approach
When Debra came to our category we listened with growing anticipation as she explained how the mission and philosophies of the winning company attracted the eyes of the judges, and then named us as the winner! The panel also mentioned our “excellent submission with lots of relevant detail outlining the organisation’s development, its philosophies and approach to business”. Our CEO Daniel Smith, managing director Nick Holliss and operations director Steve Boffa went on-stage to collect our award while the rest of the team celebrated in style! Start As We Mean To Go On...
We’re over the moon to be adding this award to others we won at the Hire Awards of Excellence, including the Best New Business title in 2011, and in 2012 Lisa our marketing manager was named New Starter of The Year and Hire Achiever of the Year. We’d like to thank all our customers over the years for their support and loyalty, and we can’t wait to continue on our mission to provide excellent customer care in the furniture hire industry.
