Winter World Cup – Gather your Colleagues

Bring Football Home with World Cup Furniture Hire

Nothing brings the country together better than football! Even if you’re not an avid football fan, the World Cup captivates men and women alike to root for their country and be glued to the television for the duration of the tournament. A strange excitement builds and we all begin to wonder if this year will be the year that football really does ‘come home’.

Qatar 2022

The 2022 World Cup will be held during the Northern Hemisphere winter months for the first time ever with a November start date (Sunday 20th November) and a December finish date. (Sunday 18th December) Qatar 2022 is being played during the winter to avoid the intense heat of the Middle East’s summer. The temperatures are still expected to reach 30C however so our boys will certainly be feeling it. England’s first game will be held on the second day of the tournament against Group B opponent, Iran. The hosts will be ‘kicking’ off the World Cup at the Al Bayt Stadium when they take on Ecuador.

Format & Schedule

The tournament begins with 32 teams in eight groups of four. Four matches will be each day during the group stage which runs over a 12 day period.

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

Keep Work Flowing with Create Casual Breakout Areas

With the World Cup being held in Qatar, the rounds of matches will kick off 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. As a company you may have noticed a spike in holiday being booked in late November, early December.  If not, you may well see a trend in sickness days whilst the tournament is being aired. Nobody will want to miss the action and whilst sport isn’t for everyone we think it would be wise to embrace the occasion rather than avoiding it.

Our World Cup furniture selection allows companies of all sizes to create bespoke casual/breakout areas full of either bean bags or sofas so employees can spend their lunch breaks enjoying the long awaited World Cup or an area to simply ‘pop’ into now and then. Creating a ‘fan zone’ as such could potentially encourage workers to stay late or work through breaks so they can enjoy the buzz the World Cup brings.

Beers & Football with Bar Hire

With some matches starting at 4 and 7pm, some employees may choose to remain local or within the office. Offering an area dedicated to the World Cup with soft seating and even a bar will allow workers to really relax in a safe environment with friends and colleagues. We have a range of bars on offer including lawn or box hedge as well as mirrored and bespoke bars which can be branded with your logo. You can stock the bar yourself or leave this to us too. Just send us your drinks order. We cater to all tastes and can even supply cocktails kegs if you’re looking for something a bit different. Soft drinks are always a keen favourite so those driving can still sit back, relax and enjoy the game.
